The two undisputed champions of 2D fighting meet to duke it out once again — this time on Xbox, and courtesy of SNK NeoGeo. While presenting the same wide array of character and match customization options seen in earlier versions of the popular cross-over series, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos offers a few new features as well. Expert fighters can now inflict even more special move damage, by nailing the game’s “Exceed Moves” with just the right timing. A “forward ground step” move allows a fighter to adjust the timing and positioning of attacks on the fly, to throw off a skilled opponent. Over three dozen fighter characters are available in the game, including returning heroes and villains from the King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, and Street Fighter franchises, as well as version-exclusive entrants Shiki, Athena, and Mega Man.
